About
The Story Behind the Name

Real Estate
Apartments, and everything else
For Mable, real estate is about more than transactions. She believes deeply in the power of homeownership as a pathway to building wealth, stability, and legacy. A real estate owner herself, she brings a multifaceted perspective to her work, with additional experience in home staging, interior decorating, renovation, and preparing properties for market. These skills complement her work as a real estate advisor, helping clients see the potential in their homes and position properties effectively for sale.
Different property types, same job. Price it honestly, present it properly, and know who the buyer actually is.
Experience
What twenty years in one market buys you
Mable Ivory is a real estate advisor, entrepreneur, speaker, and community leader whose three-decade career spans real estate, media, marketing, entertainment, and community impact. After beginning her career in media and marketing, she transitioned into real estate, where she has spent the past 20 years building an accomplished career serving buyers, sellers, homeowners, and investors throughout New York.
A top-performing Real Estate Advisor at REAL Broker, Mable has closed more than $78 million in real estate sales, representing residential properties throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Westchester County. An accomplished speaker, she has appeared on stages in New York and internationally, including Inman Connect, and has continued to expand her public-speaking work through international speaker training in Dubai. Her real estate expertise and market insights have been featured in The New York Times, the New York Post, and Homes.com.
Leadership
I sit on the other side of the table too
Her commitment to housing also extends into leadership and governance. Mable serves as President of the Board of Directors of a residential cooperative in New York City, where she provides leadership on financial, operational, governance, capital improvement, and quality-of-life matters affecting the building and its shareholders.
Origins
Before real estate
Prior to real estate, Mable built a career in marketing, media, partnerships, entertainment, and community development. She began at Time Inc., working in marketing and partnership roles for Time Consumer Marketing and Teen People, before joining ESSENCE Communications, where she ultimately served as Director of Community Development & Partnerships.
During her tenure at ESSENCE, Mable worked alongside Susan L. Taylor to help launch ESSENCE Cares, a national mentoring movement created to mobilize adults in support of Black children. She also oversaw a $500,000 Hurricane Katrina relief fund on behalf of ESSENCE and Time Inc., helping direct resources and support to communities devastated by the disaster.
Her background in media also includes work as a writer, content creator, and cultural commentator, with published work appearing in ESSENCE, EBONY, and The Huffington Post.
Purpose
Why any of this matters to me
Mable is also an alumna of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women program, which supports Black women entrepreneurs with education, resources, and networks designed to help grow and strengthen their businesses.
Born and raised in Ohio, Mable has proudly called New York City home since attending New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science from the Stern School of Business. Whether helping a client achieve a real estate goal or using her voice to support and advocate for others, Mable's purpose is to help people move toward a life they love — creating pathways to greater success, happiness, satisfaction, and possibility.

Advocacy
Recognize to Rise
At the heart of Mable's work is a longstanding commitment to community and advocacy. Following the loss of her childhood best friend to domestic violence, she founded Recognize to Rise, an advocacy and awareness initiative dedicated to helping people recognize emotional abuse and unhealthy relationship dynamics, challenge stereotypes about who can be affected by domestic violence, and understand that support, resources, and a safer path forward are available.
